Oh, how I love the Dogfish Brewing Company. Yes, I know this isn’t a cap, but honestly beer on tap really is better, isn’t it?
This brown ale is one of my favorites… rich with chocolate malt and well balanced hops. I really enjoy a beer that has good body and doesn’t feel as thin as water… and dogfish beers never feel like water.
Maybe I am bias when it comes to Dogfish… because I love all of their beers. From their Indian Brown to their Olde Skool, it is all good!

Yo Manda!
That is definitely a good, easy drinking, everyday beer. The Smuttynose Brown Dog Ale, and the Cigar City Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale fall into the same category and are just as good. Love em all! Great with a burger or by themselves.
As far as the bottle vs. draught thing, one of the few times that the bottle has been better is with the Saison Dupont. Could be because of the bottle conditioning or maybe it was just a sloppy pour, but the one time I had it on draught was a disappointment. Not bad, just not as good as when I’ve had it from a bottle.
Cheers!

I totally missed this post G-Lo, so I apologize for my delayed response.
Oh sweet Saison Dupont, how I love thee! How interesting that it tastes better from the bottle, I honestly haven’t tried that one on tap.
You’ve made me realize that I do actually enjoy Barley Wines from the bottle though, as I enjoy the richness once they age a little. 🙂
