My husband and I used to come to “Mashout” (think Woodstock for Beer Brewers) each year, until we got pregnant with our daughter. This year, at the age of five, we’ve decided our daughter is old enough to attend with us.
200 people, on the top of a mountain, sharing homebrew, food and getting to know one another. We just arrived and I have a feeling it will be a great weekend.

I wrote this blog on Friday, from the top of a Mountain in MD – and then realized I didn’t have an internet connection to be able to post it – so here it is – a couple of days late. By the way – this is a picture of “Keg Row”. Everyone brings either a keg (or pony keg) of beer or a case (if they don’t brew their own). All of the beer is lined up under the trees and kept iced for everyone’s enjoyment. Now I just need to recover. 🙂
